Internal Fellowships

Suzuki Postdoctoral Fellowship Award
- Yuji Suzuki, a longtime supporter and former Council member of the Physical Sciences Division, has established the Suzuki Postdoctoral Fellowship Award to recognize outstanding postdoctoral researchers.
- The award consists of a $10,000 salary top-off and is eligible for a competitive renewal for a second year.
- Nominations typically due in mid-November. This Fellowship is administered through the PSD.
The Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellows Program
External Fellowships
- Promotes excellence in scientific and technological research conducted by the U.S. government agencies
- Applications due three times annually. Open to UC Citizens.
- The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship awarded every two years to a Ph.D. candidate who will pursue research at the chemistry and biology interface.
NIH
- Provides an overview of all types of postdoctoral support programs
NASA
- NHFP supports outstanding postdoctoral scientists to pursue independent research which contributes to NASA Astrophysics, using theory, observation, experimentation, or instrument development. (Includes astrochemistry, exoplanets, spectroscopy, chemical evolution)
Private Foundations

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships.
- Funds research in Europe. These fellowships take place in an EU Member State and can last between 1 and 2 years.
- Researchers of any nationality can apply.
