Graduate Students Organize Bus to March for Science in DC

Ben Zalisko, a Biochemistry graduate student in the Keenan lab, Erin Fry and Katie Mika, Human Genetics students in the Lynch lab, and Christina Roman, a Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics student in the Piccirilli group, have organized a bus to the March for Science in Washington, DC. Sponsored by the Graduate Council, the Biological Sciences Division Dean's Council, the Physical Sciences Division Social Committee, and a donation from Gilson, the bus will take 56 University of Chicago science students to and from DC. The organizers have taken a nonpartisan stance: "You won’t be required to advocate anything. You speak for yourself. We’re just providing transportation," they state on their Facebook event page.
