A symposium honoring the scientific achievements of Professor Stephen Kent, Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology will be held in the Gordon Center for Integrative Science at the University of Chicago on October 20, 2018.
Over more than forty years of teaching and mentoring, Professor Kent and his research group have focused on inventing chemistries and applying them to reveal the molecular basis of protein function. Professor Kent has been awarded numerous prestigious accolades, including most recently in 2017 the esteemed Laboratory of Organic Chemistry at ETH Zürich's Prelog Medal.
