Professor Hillhouse has won the 2011 Norman Maclean Faculty Alumni Award. This award is named for Professor Norman Maclean, who taught English at the University of Chicago for 40 years. The award recognizes senior faculty members who have made outstanding contributions to teaching and to the student experience of life on campus.
