Chuan He appointed editor-in-chief of ACS Chemical Biology

Professor Chuan He has been appointed as editor-in-chief of ACS Chemical Biology

Along with Chuan He as editor-in-chief for ACS Chemical Biology, two other faculty members hold editor-in-chief positions for ACS Publications including Prof. Laura Gagliardi for the Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation and Prof. Stuart Rowan for ACS Macro Letters

“Since its inception, ACS Chemical Biology has established itself as the main platform for chemical biologists to communicate their research and share scientific discoveries,” says Prof. He. “I envision the journal expanding its scope to encompass emerging research areas which are likely to blossom in the coming decade. I also look forward to building relationships with young chemical biologists through new initiatives and believe that the journal can play an active role in encouraging all chemical biologists to explore new areas of research.”

He is a John T. Wilson Distinguished Service Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Director of the Institute for Biophysical Dynamics, and an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Arthur L. Kelly Faculty Prize for Exceptional Service in the Physical Sciences Division, Paul Marks Prize in Cancer Research, Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award, Mr. and Mrs. Sun Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry, American Chemical Society Akron Section Award, and the Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry Early Career Award. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

ACS Chemical Biology, established in 2006, provides an international forum for the rapid communication of research that broadly embraces the interface between chemistry and biology.
