Bryan Dickinson selected as a 2024 CZ Biohub Chicago Investigator
Professor Bryan Dickinson has been selected as a 2024 CZ Biohub Chicago Investigator.
Dickinson will be part of the UChicago PSD faculty team that includes Profs. Margaret Gardel and Vincenzo Vitelli.
The three UChicago Professors are part of a cohort of 48 of “Chicago’s most creative and accomplished scientists and engineers” who will use multidisciplinary approaches to understand inflammation and the dysregulation of immune cells.
In a tweet expanding upon their plan, Dickinson wrote the group will also research “subcellular chemical technologies to map molecular organization dynamics during stress responses.”
The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Chicago, a non-profit research organization that began in San Francisco in 2015 and has since expanded nationwide, supports investigators at Biohub partner institutions (Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) to perform research on topics related to instrumented tissues as well as research linked to inflammation and the functions of the immune system. Investigators pursue high-risk, high-reward research ideas representing new directions that are not currently funded by other sources
