Abhishek Mitra, a graduate student with The Gagliardi Group, and Anna Schouten, a graduate student with the David Mazziotti group, were both individually honored to receive the IBM-Zerner Graduate Student Award from the University of Florida at the 63rd Sanibel Symposium.
Mitra received the award for his poster, “Towards a Practical Quantum Chemistry on Quantum Computers Using Localized Active Spaces” and Schouten received the award for her poster, “Exciton-Condensate-Like Amplification of Energy Transport in Light Harvesting".
Now in its 63rd year, the Sanibel Symposium is one of the longest-running conferences on electronic structure theory.
Both students individually received the award and certificate from Richard G. Hennig at the banquet dinner.
We extend our sincere congratulations to Abhishek and Anna!
